Job summary

A leading construction firm in Glasgow is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join its Energy Team. In this role, you will manage internal commercial reporting, prepare payment applications, and oversee subcontract schedules among other responsibilities. The ideal candidate will have proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor or be a Quantity Surveyor ready to step up, along with knowledge of NEC Contracts and experience in civil engineering projects. Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor or looking to step up.
• Solid knowledge across NEC Contracts.
• Registered with RICS / ICES and working towards chartership.
• Experience on Civil Engineering and/or Major Construction Projects.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the site team adheres to group procedures.
• Management of internal commercial reporting.
• Preparation of Valuations/Applications for Payment.
• Oversee Cost Reports to the Client.
• Management of subcontract and material procurement schedules.
• Administration of subcontractor/supplier accounts.
• Contract administration including change management.
• Identifying commercial risks and opportunities.
• Use cost allocation/coding to meet both internal and external requirements.
• Measurement of quantities in accordance with standard methods.

Skills

Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor

Solid knowledge across NEC Contracts

Registered with RICS / ICES

Experience on Civil Engineering and/or Major Construction Projects
