Bouygues Energies & Services Industry, an Equans company, is recruiting a Quantity Surveyor to be based in Newport, South Wales, to support projects that deliver excellence in M&E and fit‑out works across complex, regulated environments. We design, build and maintain cutting‑edge facilities for some of the most innovative clients in the industry.

What you will deliver?
  • Carry out the commercial activities to meet the project objectives, by providing advice, guidance and support to the project team.
  • Ensure compliance and governance in respect to various forms of contract including JCT, NEC etc.
  • Handle the contract and execute financial reviews and continually monitor projected costs and control within budget.
  • Take ownership of and be responsible for the project cost budget and provide guidance and direction as required.
  • Ensure variations to the contracts are priced and agreed at the earliest opportunity.
  • Ensure commercial control of projects are maintained in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Prepare and present financial control/WIP/CVR documents and submit reports as required for month‑end results, forecast and activity reports.
  • Fulfil Health & Safety responsibilities by adherence to the requirements of the Company’s Health & Safety Policy and Health & Safety Management Plans.

Who are we looking for?
  • A Quantity Surveyor with proven experience in the construction/M&E sector.
  • The ability to communicate, influence and challenge to deliver results.
  • Excellent team‑working skills and experience of dealing with project teams.
  • Experience of working with a main contractor or large subcontractor.
  • The ability to identify risk in a project and implement and manage risks, procedures and contingencies.
