Location: Portsmouth with some travel to Portland in support of craft operations and Test and Trials periods.
Note: Due to the nature of work undertaken at SubSea Craft, the selected candidate must be capable of meeting the security requirements of the position, which would include as a minimum existing right to live and work in the UK, Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS), with UK National security clearance required for certain roles.
Base pay range
- Salary: £65,000-£75,000 DOE

Responsibilities Will Include
- Reporting into Operations and supporting all business departments
- Overseeing and evolving the Integrated Business Management System and Quality Management Systems
- Help departments align processes to recognised standards and drive continual improvement
- Managing a team of quality engineers focusing on production and supplier quality
- Scheduling and running internal and external audits to maintain ISO9001:2015 accreditation
- Embedding AQAP defence standards, including NATO quality assurance regulations and quality plans
- Introduction of AS9100 standards where appropriate
- Drive the introduction of configuration management into business processes to ISO standards
- Develop, implement and monitor quality control processes for manufacturing operations
- Analyse production non-conformance to identify trends and areas for improvement
- Train and support staff on quality control procedures
- Understand design and manufacturing documentation to ensure production processes are implemented correctly
- Establish and maintain quality standards for supplier materials and components
- Conduct supplier audits and assessments for compliance
- Collaborate with suppliers to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions
- Develop and maintain supplier performance metrics and reporting systems
- Collaborate with customer service and sales to address quality-related customer concerns
- Build and monitor quality issues logging process
- Report quality metrics and progress to senior leadership monthly
- Work with design engineering to establish quality standards in accordance with applicable legislation
- Excellent verbal and written communication, and ability to meet deadlines

Qualifications And Experience
- Lead Auditor
- Degree in Quality Management, Engineering or related field
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in quality management within manufacturing and defence, preferably marine
- Proven experience embedding ISO, AQAP and AS standards
- Full UK Driving License
- Proven leadership and team management abilities
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
- Excellent stakeholder management skills
