Overview

We are supporting a well-established industrial manufacturing business in Elgin who are looking to recruit a Quality Engineer to support and improve quality standards across their manufacturing operations.

This role will suit someone with a strong engineering background, ideally gained within a manufacturing environment, who is comfortable working closely with machinery, production teams and technical drawings.

Responsibilities
  • Support and maintain quality systems and procedures across the site
  • Conduct inspections and quality checks on components and finished products
  • Investigate non-conformances and support root cause analysis
  • Work closely with production and engineering teams to improve quality and reduce defects
  • Review and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to quality and process control
  • Ensure compliance with internal standards, customer requirements and industry regulations
About You
  • Proven engineering experience, ideally within a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Strong understanding of CNC machinery and processes
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Experience working with quality tools, inspection equipment and measurement techniques
  • Practical, hands-on approach with strong problem-solving skills
  • Good communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
