Job description

MSA Foams UK Ltd is a leading manufacturer of bespoke protective packaging solutions, specialising in engineered foam products for a wide range of industries, including aerospace, defence, electronics, manufacturing and the commercial sector. With a focus on innovation, precision and quality, we design and produce custom foam inserts, cases and transit packaging that protect valuable equipment throughout storage, transport and deployment. Our expert team works closely with clients to deliver reliable, fit-for-purpose solutionsચ that meet the highest performance standards.

Reporting to the Production Manager, you will play a key part in maintaining and improving quality standards across production processes. You will carry out inspections and audits to ensure compliance with customer specifications and internal standards, and to support the continuous improvement of quality systems.

The QA Supervisor role is a standalone position and would be an ideal next step for a QA Technician or Engineer.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Monitor production processes and inspect products to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Perform regular instrument calibrations in line with the calibration schedule.
  • Assist with the disposition of non-conforming or stopped products.
  • Conduct detailed First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs), documenting results and resolving discrepancies with departments.
  • Assist with machine trials and hands‑on product testing.
  • Lead or support customer claim investigations, providing root cause analysis and solutions.
  • Uphold health, safety, and standards and actively promote a safety‑first подроб culture.
REQUIREMENTS
  • The ideal candidate will have experience in quality control or assurance, or a degree in a scientific, technical, or engineering discipline. You will be highly analytical, meticulous, and proactive, with a strong work ethic and a commitment to accuracy in all tasks.
  • Desirable skills and qualifications:
  • Possession of an ISO 9001 Lead Auditor qualification is preferred.
  • Prior experience conducting ISO audits is advantageous.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyseિશ problems and identify root causes effectively.
  • Capable of working autonomously as well as collaborating within a team environment.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing setting is beneficial.
  • Familiarity with technical drawing and calibration processes is considered an asset.
ABILITY TO COMMUTE/RELOCATE

This is a full‑time, on‑site role based in Dorset that requires attendance at our factory. Applicants must have the legal right to work in the UK, as we are unable to offer visa sponsorship. The successful candidate must be able to reliably commute to the workplace during standard UK business hours.

Relocation assistance is not available for this position, and knowledge of the local Dorset area and stakeholders would be a strong advantage.
