Founded in 1978, Clark Contracts Ltd is a privately owned main contractor with several operating divisions: Construction, Fit Out, Refurbishment, Housing, Maintenance, and Manufactured Joinery. We employ over 220 people, with offices in the East and West of Scotland. We are currently looking for a Quality Assurance Coordinator to join our team at our Paisley head office. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring quality assurance and compliance across our projects and business operations, supporting our commitment to excellence and continuous improvement.

Role & Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance procedures and processes across all divisions.
  • Conduct audits and inspections to ensure compliance with industry regulations, internal policies, and client requirements.
  • Identify areas for improvement and work with teams to implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Support the development and maintenance of ISO 9001 quality management systems, along with supporting the HSEQ team in relation to ISO14001 and ISO45001.
  • Ensure accurate documentation and reporting of quality performance metrics.
  • Assist with training and awareness programs to promote a strong quality culture.
  • Collaborate with project teams, suppliers, and subcontractors to uphold quality standards.
  • Assist divisions with the training and management of our QC procedure.
  • Fully embrace the company's Customers 1st campaign to continually enhance the way we serve our clients.
Candidate
  • Previous experience in a quality assurance or compliance role, ideally within construction, manufacturing, or a related industry.
  • Strong understanding of quality management systems and regulatory compliance.
  • Experience with ISO 9001 or other quality assurance frameworks is desirable.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem‑solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to influence and support teams in maintaining quality standards.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with the ability to produce clear and structured reports.
  • Due to the location of some sites, a driving licence is essential.
