Qualified Social Worker - Family Safeguarding - Crawley- Up to £42ph

West Sussex County Council is seeking an experienced and motivated Qualified Social Worker to join the Family Safeguarding Team in Crawley. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a supportive, multi-disciplinary environment delivering meaningful, evidence-based interventions that improve safety, engagement, and outcomes for children and families.

You will join a service currently rolling out the Family Safeguarding Model, strengthened by:

  • Co-located Early Help teams
  • Community mental health practitioners
  • Domestic abuse specialists
  • Substance misuse workers
Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake high-quality assessments and direct work with children and families.
  • Identify risk effectively and develop robust safeguarding plans.
  • Manage a varied caseload with independence and professional judgement.
  • Produce well-evidenced reports for case conferences, court, and statutory reviews.
  • Contribute to multi-disciplinary safeguarding interventions consistent with the Family Safeguarding Model.
  • Maintain accurate case records and uphold professional standards.
  • Promote equality, inclusion, and good practice across the service.
