A leading technology company is seeking a Senior Tester to join their media client's Tools team. The role involves manual and automation testing, requiring extensive experience with Cypress, Playwright, AWS, Jenkins, and Java, alongside solid agile methodology skills. The position is fully remote within the UK, with a contract duration of 6 months, and offers attractive benefits, including 25 days holiday and a 10% pension contribution.
We are looking for an experienced and talented Senior Tester to work with our media client on their Media Tools team. The team own a number of products for the purpose of editorialising and scheduling content metadata for consumption by other systems and audiences. The established multi-discipline team works collaboratively to modernise the tools and products by decommissioning old systems and migrating functionality to new systems, enriching the content metadata to make it more readily available to aid discovery of the content and building out a new podcast management tool. The successful applicant will have extensive experience of working in software development team and especially collaborating with the developers, providing steer and support when required. They will be experts in manual and automated testing and have experience with Cypress, Playwright, AWS, Jenkins and Java.

A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field or similar work based experience.
Proven experience as a Senior Software Engineer ideally with a focus on media-related projects.
Very good working knowledge of standard software development frameworks, techniques and methodologies.
Experience with providing coaching and mentoring
Ability to work collaboratively in a team, contributing to the development of business scenarios.
Knowledge of software development tools and technologies.
You are flexible and curious in your approach
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Duration of the contract: initially 6 months with the possibility of extension – contract FTC (full-time)
