  • Routine cleaning of the warehouse and equipment checks.

Job description

Purpose/Key Objective:

To perform warehouse duties, to include receiving deliveries and despatching orders, stock control and record keeping.

SHEQ requirements:
  • Complies with the Company and statutory requirements of the Health and Safety at Work Act section 7 as well as the environment
  • Co-operates in ensuring the health, safety and welfare of themselves, colleagues and visitors (e.g. customers, contractors) whilst at work
  • Co-operates via communication, consultation and participation in the SHEQ management systems
  • Co-operates in protecting resources by minimising energy usage, waste and emissions to benefit the planet.
Principal Accountabilities/Critical Objectives:
  • FLT Driver
  • Receive deliveries of goods and supplies
  • Check for damaged or missing items
  • Store goods
  • Move stock around by hand, palletiser, or a forklift truck
  • Pick, prepare and check orders
  • Load goods
  • Keep records of stock
  • Keep paperwork up to date
  • Clean work area
  • Routine cleaning of warehouse floors on a weekly basis or as necessary
  • Daily checking forklift equipment for faults or damage
  • Ad hoc duties as required.
Knowledge, Experience & Qualifications:
  • Counterbalance forklift qualification
  • Needs to have experience in using mobile loading ramp.
  • Desirable to have experience in a warehousing/factory role involving a continuous production line
  • Equivalent of GCSE in English and Maths
  • Aware of health and safety regulations
  • Good organisation skills
