Purpose/Key Objective:
To perform warehouse duties, to include receiving deliveries and despatching orders, stock control and record keeping.
SHEQ requirements:
- Complies with the Company and statutory requirements of the Health and Safety at Work Act section 7 as well as the environment
- Co-operates in ensuring the health, safety and welfare of themselves, colleagues and visitors (e.g. customers, contractors) whilst at work
- Co-operates via communication, consultation and participation in the SHEQ management systems
- Co-operates in protecting resources by minimising energy usage, waste and emissions to benefit the planet.
Principal Accountabilities/Critical Objectives:
- FLT Driver
- Receive deliveries of goods and supplies
- Check for damaged or missing items
- Store goods
- Move stock around by hand, palletiser, or a forklift truck
- Pick, prepare and check orders
- Load goods
- Keep records of stock
- Keep paperwork up to date
- Clean work area
- Routine cleaning of warehouse floors on a weekly basis or as necessary
- Daily checking forklift equipment for faults or damage
- Ad hoc duties as required.
Knowledge, Experience & Qualifications:
- Counterbalance forklift qualification
- Needs to have experience in using mobile loading ramp.
- Desirable to have experience in a warehousing/factory role involving a continuous production line
- Equivalent of GCSE in English and Maths
- Aware of health and safety regulations
- Good organisation skills
- A methodical and tidy approach
- Flexible and willing to take on a variety of tasks
- Team player
- The ability to work quickly, accurately and safely.
