A local government health organization in Doncaster is seeking a Public Health Coordinator to join their Get Doncaster Moving team. This role focuses on improving public health and wellbeing through collaboration in the health system, integrating physical activity, and leading various initiatives. Get Doncaster Moving is our whole systems approach to tackling inactivity. We are testing innovative, evidence-based solutions in partnership with Sport England to reduce physical inactivity levels in Doncaster. The GDM team leads on a range of themed work areas including Health and Care, Active Communities, Parks and Open Spaces, Active Travel, Children and Young People, and Community Sport.
In this role you will deepen our work across the health and care system, identify opportunities to ensure that movement, physical activity and sport are used to support wellbeing, and manage partnerships across the system including oversight of Rdash (Rotherham Doncaster and South Humber NHS Foundation Trust) and the Talking Therapies Trailblazer.
