Qualifications

This is a 24/7 service where shift working is required including nights and weekends (see attached rotas) Contract Status – PermanentGlasgow City Health and Social Care Partnership (GCHSCP) are recruiting two Project Workers within Homeless Residential Services.Homeless Residential Services provide temporary accommodation and intensive support to individuals experiencing homelessness. The service focuses on assessing needs, developing resettlement plans and helping people build the skills and confidence needed for independent living. It plays a key role in reducing repeat homelessness and promoting recovery, inclusion, and wellbeing.Project Workers provide a front-line service working 1 to 1 with individuals and assisting with support planning. Elder Street services specifically supports vulnerable homeless women and Rodney Street services specifically supports vulnerable homeless men. Both services provide care and support for vulnerable service users through individual key working meetings in order to provide a comprehensive assessment of need and formulate a robust resettlement plan.What You’ll Do: • Provide front-line support through 1 to 1 key working and support planning. • Motivate and assist service users to reduce isolation, build confidence, and learn new skills. • Promote service user involvement and empowerment. • Provide practical assistance (e.g. cooking, money management, arranging and accompanying service users to appointments).
