Project Surveyor role at PA Housing.
Location: Hybrid - Case House, Surrey or London
Employment type: Permanent
Coverage: In this role you will cover an area within a 15 mile radius from our Case House office.
What you’ll be doing
- Build strong relationships with residents, acting as their main contact throughout planned works projects.
- Consistently deliver high standards of customer service.
- Needs Assessment and Safeguarding: identify and address residents\' needs (mental health, cultural, mobility) before works begin; refer safeguarding concerns to the Tenancy Solutions team for early intervention.
- Community and Partnership: lead community investment and resident involvement with partnering contractors; collaborate with safer neighbourhood teams, external agencies, and other partners to deliver planned works; work with financial inclusion teams to guide residents toward training, education, and employment opportunities.
- Contractor Coordination: work with contractors\' Resident Liaison Officers (RLOs) to ensure consistent service delivery; ensure contractors adhere to PA’s policies and participate in progress meetings.
- Site Management and Safety: conduct regular site visits, address issues with contractors and colleagues, raise health and safety concerns.
- Communication and Feedback: handle communications and complaints; analyse customer feedback to identify trends and improvements.
- Project Communication: oversee all communications from PA and contractors to residents and stakeholders; organize resident meetings; keep staff informed about timelines and access; promote services using digital solutions.
What we’re looking for
- Industry experience in construction or repairs, especially within a maintenance department in an RSL or customer-facing private sector organisation.
- Proven ability to manage contractors and suppliers.
- Strong customer service background with experience resolving complaints and using complaint management systems.
- Experience working with local community groups and external support agencies.
- Proficient in intermediate IT skills (Word, Excel, MS Outlook).
- Familiarity with Northgate Housing Management and Keystone Asset Management systems.
- Professional qualification in a relevant technical discipline, or demonstrable experience to meet role requirements.
- Accredited qualifications by Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors or Chartered Institute of Building.
