Job Description

Introduction
Our Client’s practice is a large, spacious first-opinion clinic in Guildford, Surrey, offering a supportive and collaborative working environment. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join a friendly, well-established team focused on delivering exceptional patient and client care.

Working Hours / Rota
This is a full-time role working 40 hours per week. The rota includes 1 in 4 Saturdays, working 8am to 1pm. The structure supports a consistent weekday schedule alongside a fair and manageable weekend commitment.

Role Description
As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, you will be accountable for delivering high-quality nurse-led appointments while supporting the veterinary surgeons during procedures. Your role will involve patient monitoring, inpatient care, admissions and discharges, dispensing and checking medications, and ensuring all clinical activities meet regulatory and operational standards. You will also play an active role in team communication and coordination to support the smooth day-to-day running of the practice.

Team Size
You will work alongside a Lead Veterinary Surgeon, a second Veterinary Surgeon, a Practice Manager, another Registered Veterinary Nurse, and a wider support team, creating a collaborative and supportive clinical environment.

Practice Details
The practice is well equipped with modern facilities and ample parking. Clinical areas include three consulting rooms, an isolation unit, and separate cat and dog wards. Recent investment has enhanced diagnostic capabilities, supporting efficient and high-quality patient care within the practice.

Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will be an RCVS-registered Veterinary Nurse with a passion for delivering excellent patient and client care. You will be confident running nurse-led clinics, supporting Schedule 3 procedures, and working collaboratively within a team. Strong communication skills, professionalism, and a proactive approach to clinical standards are essential.
