Project Engineer – Workdry International Ltd

Join us as a Project Engineer to design, coordinate and deliver turnkey wastewater treatment solutions across the Group.

About the Role

This position involves project planning, overseeing equipment fabrication and assembly, client coordination, and site installation, commissioning and handover.

Main Responsibilities
  • Drive successful delivery of projects for rental or turnkey wastewater treatment solutions through coordination with sales, design, operations and procurement teams.
  • Prepare detailed design documentation including P&IDs, layout plans, system profiles, control philosophies, plant specifications and O&M manuals / SOPs.
  • Work closely with design and production teams to develop general arrangement drawings and bespoke system designs tailored to project requirements.
  • Attend meetings with clients, suppliers and subcontractors to develop technical solutions, identify project constraints and define requirements.
  • Ensure all quality records related to installation, testing and commissioning are accurately compiled to support effective system handover.
  • Conduct site inspections for pre‑installation assessments and prepare site‑specific risk assessments and method statements.
  • Collaborate with the Technical Sales team to liaise with clients, contractors and suppliers, ensuring the scope of work is clearly defined and maintained from tender through commissioning and handover.
  • Support project teams by providing information for the preparation of Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS), including liaison with suppliers and subcontractors as required.
Qualifications Required
  • Engineering degree or equivalent qualifications.
  • Relevant industry experience or a strong interest with practical outlook.
  • Sound knowledge of engineering principles for design, assembly and operation.
  • Basic understanding of ISO 14001 and ISO 9001:2015 standards and relevant health, safety and environmental legislation.
  • Knowledge of the industrial/wastewater industry is desirable.
  • Competency with 2D AutoCAD for design and technical documentation.
  • SSSTS/SMSTS/IOSH training is desirable.
  • Excellent organisational skills and ability to prioritise work with effective problem‑solving outlook.
  • Strong communication skills for conveying technical and non‑technical information to varied audiences.
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects as business needs arise.
  • Strong attention to detail, particularly with engineering principles.
  • Comfortable working outdoors in all weathers and operational environments.
