Project Development Manager – Tees Valley Investment Zone

We have an exciting opportunity for a Project Development Manager to join our Investment Development team at a pivotal moment for the Tees Valley. With the emergence of a new Local Growth Plan, this is an exceptional time to help shape our future and unlock significant economic growth.

A major part of this next chapter is the Tees Valley Investment Zone, focused on accelerating growth in our Creative and Digital sectors. The Investment Zone is a cornerstone of the region’s strategy and will rely on high‑quality project development that attracts investment, strengthens delivery confidence and translates ambitions into impactful outcomes.

Our team will play a central role in turning the ambitions of the Local Growth Plan and Investment Pipeline into deliverable, investment‑ready projects. Working closely with internal and external partners, we will develop opportunities from concept into robust, compelling and investable proposals.

As Project Development Manager you will be pivotal in advancing opportunities within the Creative & Digital Investment Zone while contributing to the wider portfolio of regional priorities. You will help bring these opportunities to fruition, turning strategic priorities into tangible outcomes that drive prosperity across the Tees Valley.

About the team

The TVCA Investment Development team provides Economic Intelligence, Policy Development and Programme & Project Development. We are looking for a dynamic, creative and knowledgeable person to join the team during a busy time as we strengthen our evidence base, influence national policy, and secure investment for projects that deliver our ambitions.

Role requirements

You will be organised, adaptable and good at building strong relationships with clients. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, collaborative and focused with excellent attention to detail and the ability to support multiple projects and programmes working across multi‑disciplinary teams.
