About The Role

Bespak is looking for a Programme Scheduler for a permanent position for this onsite role at the Holmes Chapel site, CW4 8BE. The salary for this role is £49K – 58K. Other benefits you will receive are 25 days leave plus bank holidays, discretionary annual bonus, generous 10% pension contribution, onsite free parking, and medical / dental / health / life assurance.

Working Pattern

Working pattern – Monday to Friday usual working times of 8:30am to 5:00pm with an 8:30 am to 3:45pm finish on a Friday. There is some flexibility on start and finish times.

As a Programme Scheduler, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing the delivery of programme schedules. You will ensure that all programmes and related work packages are delivered on time, align with strategic goals, and meet stakeholder expectations.

We are investing heavily to increase our capacity for developing and manufacturing sustainable pMDIs (asthma inhalers) with greener propellants, meeting the evolving standards of the industry, while providing comprehensive development, manufacturing, filling, and finishing solutions for a range of medical devices, including SMIs, DPIs, nasal sprays, and medical check valves.

As a Programme Scheduler, your duties will include:

  • Develop, maintain and manage accurate programme schedules and timelines.
  • Liaise with internal departments and external stakeholders to gather programme requirements and deliverables.
  • Prepare and present KPI reports to internal stakeholders and customers.
  • Monitor and adjust schedules with project/programme goals and strategic plans.
  • Ensure alignment of scheduling with project/programme goals and strategic plans.
  • Track milestones and deadlines, highlight risks and recommending mitigations.
  • Provide regular scheduling reports and updates to project teams and senior management.
  • Maintain documentation and version control schedules using appropriate tools/software.
  • Support forecasting, resource planning and performance tracking processes.
Programme Scheduler – Beneficial key skills and experience
  • Proven experience in project scheduling, coordination, planning and budgeting
  • Proficient in tools such as Microsoft Project, Primavera or similar
  • Strong analytical management skills and multi-tasking skills
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy
  • Knowledge of risk management and project methodologies (PRINCE2, Agile & PMBOK desirable)
  • Degree in Project Management, Business Administration or related field
  • Industry knowledge in pharmaceutical, manufacturing, construction preferred

Holmes Chapel is a beautiful village in Cheshire with excellent transport links via its railway station on the Crewe-Manchester Line, proximity to the motorway network and Manchester Airport. The National Parks of the Peak District, Lake District and Eryri (Snowdonia) are within easy reach. The village has a population of nearly 7,000 and offers various amenities, including supermarkets, shops, restaurants, schools, and a GP practice.

This could suit someone who has experience as a Master scheduler, Planning Scheduler, Programme Planner, Project Controls Specialist or Project Co-ordinator.
