This is your opportunity to play a part in this transformation. We are looking for a Programme Lead to join our team and be responsible for the overall programme management of mains renewal activity across all geographical regions of the Severn Trent Water business.
Responsibilities
- Accountable for the overall programme management for the design and delivery of the entire mains renewal programme, ensuring affordability and alignment with regulatory commitments.
- Oversee approximately 45 people and contribute to AMP8 strategic guidance as one of seven key Business Leader positions.
- Manage a tight budget to avoid overspend or under-delivery of PCD against OFWAT and water resource management plan commitments; act as the single point of contact for the strategic leader to understand the AMP position of the mains renewal programme.
- Keep customers and stakeholders informed with the latest updates and provide advance notice of upcoming works to ensure an excellent customer experience.
- Establish and guide the strategy for the entire Severn Trent area, collaborating with other Business Leaders to drive and implement the AMP8 Mains Relay strategy.
- Manage spend profiles for schemes across the programme, mitigate scope creep and slippage, and oversee the annual programme review cycle to meet delivery and affordability requirements.
- Overall responsibility for a team of up to 45 people, including 4 Senior Programme Managers and a customer communications team; direct people management for a team of 5.
- Chair executive meetings to collate views, develop actions and deliver outcomes.
What you’ll bring to the role
- Experience successfully managing, motivating and leading a large technical team.
- Experience dealing with CDM Regulations and significant experience working in a utility-based industry.
- Excellent communication, influencing and people skills to collaborate with colleagues, clients and stakeholders.
- Willingness to travel and hold a full UK driving license.
