Job Purpose: As a member of the Production Team, your role revolves around delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring the production of goods aligns with both company standards and customer expectations. You’ll collaborate closely with the Lead Sawman to cut composite products according to customer orders, meticulously adhering to specifications and maintaining precise tolerances.

Key Duties
  • Assist the Lead Sawman with reading CAD drawings and interpreting technical specifications to accurately understand the dimensions, angles, and features required for cutting composite products.
  • Operating table saws, wall saws, and chop saws to precisely cut composite materials according to the provided CAD drawings and specifications.
  • Be proficient in using handheld devices, such as but not limited to tablets.
  • A strong understanding and practical experience with programs such as Salesforce, Microsoft Teams, and Outlook.
  • Take clear HD photos using issued devices of all jobs, at all required stages of the process and uploaded to the correct location.
  • Loading/stacking, wrapping and palletising of goods ready for collection and customer delivery.
  • Conducting regular checks and maintenance on sawing equipment to ensure proper functionality and safety compliance.
  • Always adhering to health and safety protocols, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and following safe operating procedures.
  • Maintaining a tidy work area by cleaning up debris, organising tools, and disposing of waste materials properly to prevent hazards and maintain efficiency.
  • Following Safe Systems of Work (SSOW) protocols diligently, including protocols for equipment operation, material handling, and emergency procedures.
  • Communicating effectively with supervisors and team members to report any safety concerns, equipment malfunctions, or deviations from standard operating procedures.
  • Participating in regular training sessions and toolbox talks to stay updated on health and safety regulations, best practices, and company policies.
  • Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives by suggesting ways to enhance safety, efficiency, and quality in the production process.
  • Demonstrating a proactive approach to safety by identifying potential hazards, implementing preventive measures, and promoting a culture of safety awareness among colleagues.
  • Good judgement and highly organised.
  • Ability to prioritise, schedule daily workload.
  • Great work ethic, proactive and positive approach to all tasks.
  • Excellent Communicator, both written and verbal, and active listening skills.

  • Competent in using all power tools (battery, 110v, 240v, petrol/diesel) on site safely and responsibly.
  • Good physical fitness level, able to spend prolonged periods of time on your feet, and able to lift panels.
