We are looking for a Production Manager to join our team. Salary is negotiable and is dependent on experience.

Pay

From £38,000.00 per year

Working in a small team of Production Managers, you will be responsible for the daily running of the production lines to ensure minimal interruptions whilst ensuring high quality of our food to go products. This job role also includes managing rotas, applying HR processes and ensuring all relevant training is kept up to date. This is a fast‑paced, hands‑on role and therefore candidates must have experience of working in a production environment, ideally with a food background. The working day starts at 6am but the exact finish time does vary and is dependent on production volumes. Applicants must be prepared to work 5 days a week across a 7-day production schedule, including weekends.

What You Will Be Doing
  • Ensure the smooth running of the core business by liaising with department leaders to co-ordinate stock, production, picking and dispatch.
  • Ensure all stock requirements are met, liaising with Admin and Goods In, so that all products are kept in premium condition and wastage is kept to a minimum.
  • Take the lead on our food safety culture and have this at the forefront of all we do.
  • Ensure all traceability procedures are adhered to.
  • Liaise with Production Supervisors, and team leaders as required to enable food to go production to take place with minimal interruptions.
  • Organise staffing rotas, holiday and sickness cover and liaise with other departments to ensure temporary cover and job advertisements, etc.
  • Complete HR processes such as interviews, disciplinary and absence review meetings.
  • Ensure all necessary documentation is complete to adhere with company procedures based on current BRC guidelines (involves liaison with consultants on a regular basis).
  • Carry out any necessary inductions, training, etc as required.
  • Attend management review meetings.
  • Set a good example to all other staff in both manner and conduct.
  • To ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures, as well as Health & Safety regulations.
