Overview

Join our Team at Macphie. We are an internationally acclaimed family ingredient manufacturer located in the picturesque and tranquil landscapes of Glenbervie in Aberdeenshire, with sites in Glasgow and the Midlands as well. We specialise in sauces, bakery creations, ice‑cream toppings, plant‑based and gluten‑free offerings, and partner with leading food brands.

About The Role

Your responsibilities will include transferring and packaging products accurately, adhering to the highest standards of quality and safety while working efficiently to meet production targets. Working shift pattern is a rotation of early and late shifts on a weekly basis.

Requirements
Health & Safety
  • Work safely at all times in accordance with company Health & Safety policies, procedures, practices, and legislation.
  • Identify and report any discrepancies in materials, machinery, or final products to the Team Leader.
  • Ensure all food safety, legality, and quality requirements are consistently met.
Hygiene & Sanitation
  • Adhere to strict hygiene and sanitation standards, following cleaning schedules and implementing the factory's clean as you go policy.
  • Carry out cleaning schedules in the production and packaging area, maintaining a high standard of hygiene/sanitation and audit readiness.
Production & Packaging
  • Prepare packaging materials, ensuring correct labeling, coding, and container specifications.
  • Operate equipment to store, feed, mix, blend, extrude, and package food products while maintaining high standards of manufacturing practice.
  • Conduct inspection, packing, and metal detection processes, ensuring product quality and compliance with weight control standards.
  • Palletise, wrap, and label finished goods as required.
Documentation & Compliance
  • Accurately complete all relevant process and food safety documentation.
  • Carry out any additional duties as assigned by Production Management.
Team Support & Flexibility
  • Provide support in other departments when required, including during holiday and absence cover.
Other Duties
  • Carry out any reasonable duties as requested by the Shift Manager / Team Lead.
