Job summary

An engineering-led organization in Kettering is seeking a Product Development Engineer to design and develop innovative engineered products from concept through to manufacturing. This role offers hands-on involvement throughout the product lifecycle and requires strong knowledge in product design, especially with sheet metal and fabrication. Proficient use of SolidWorks and AutoCAD is essential for executing detailed designs, BOMs, and ensuring compliance with regulations. This position is site based and seeks an effective communicator and problem-solver.

Qualifications

• Experience in product design engineering.
• Knowledge in sheet metal and fabricated products.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD required.

Responsibilities

• Design new and existing products using SolidWorks.
• Drive continuous improvement of products and designs.
• Create and manage Bills of Materials (BOMs).
• Ensure designs are compliant with regulations.
• Support project execution liaising with teams.

Skills

Proven experience in product / design engineering

Strong knowledge of sheet metal and fabricated product design

Proficient in SolidWorks (sheet metal and weldments)
