Job Title: Procurement Governance and Compliance Manager

Location: Warton/Samlesbury - We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements - please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role

What you’ll be doing:
  • You will support the Air Procurement team activities to modernise Air Procurement Governance processes to be lean and fit for the future, driving for improved efficiency and standardisation wherever possible with BAES Group Procurement Processes
  • You will be responsible for assuring Air Procurement activities are being performed within published processes, and ensuring there is a robust Self Assurance plan the team are focused on delivering, (short-, medium- and long-term targets), thereby mitigating risks to the business
  • You will be responsible for mentorship and coaching of the G&A team and to be the Lead Information Management Co-ordinator across the Procurement Function and co-ordinating across the SDU. This will include Information Management Plans, Document Definition Matrix and a suitable maintenance regime across all Team sites co-ordinating with local owners
  • You'll be supporting Audit activities within the Procurement (SDU) with Internal and External Auditors to support the continuance of the Procurement Service Delivery Unit (SDU) Licence to Procure and ongoing Operational Assurance Statement compliance
  • You will ensure maintenance and development of Air Procurement management system driving organisation improvement activity whilst also ensuring compliance and improvements against Operational Framework mandates and reporting
Your skills and experiences:
  • Thorough understanding of functional Procurement capabilities
  • Validated experience with Audit and Assurance, Quality, Finance, and other functions
  • Extensive knowledge of Information Management , SharePoint and Library maintenance and assurance
  • Notable skills for engaging, influencing and building trusted relationships with cross functional teams and stakeholders internally and externally across the business including multiple levels across multiple organisations
  • Significant Commercial, Contractual, Legal and Business acumen
  • Knowledge and understanding of the application of Operational Framework, Life Cycle Management (LCM) Framework and Information Management Co-ordinator and SharePoint and library maintenance
  • MCIPS or equivalent professional qualification and/or Qualified to Degree standard or equivalent
  • Experience of working within a governance role would be advantageous

The Governance and Assurance Team:

The G&A Team oversees procurement governance across the Air Procurement SDU, ensuring processes are compliant, robust, and aligned with corporate standards. The team supports internal and external audits, coordinates information management, and promotes consistent governance knowledge throughout the SDU.

They work closely with internal and external stakeholders, including Commercial, Quality, Finance, Project Management functions, and wholly or partly owned BAE entities, to maintain transparency, accountability“At the all Air locations will be required.
