Job ID: 3011612 | Amazon UK Services Ltd.
Shape the future of global e-commerce as a Process Control Specialist (PCS) at Amazon's European Central Flow Team, where you'll orchestrate millions of daily orders and innovate advanced fulfilment solutions. We’re supporting a vast network of Fulfilment Centres (FCs) operating 24/7 worldwide. As the primary escalation point for our warehouses and the crucial link between millions of daily orders and our dedicated Amazon Associates, the PCS ensures seamless fulfilment operations.
In this critical position, you'll be instrumental in driving Amazon Europe's workflow planning, risk mitigation, and cost and capacity management. Collaborating directly with FC partners, you'll provide guidance, identify and rectify workflow variances, and actively manage the journey of millions of customer orders from checkout to shipment. Our onboarding process equips you with necessary knowledge, while our matrix structure empowers you to deliver, innovate, create, and grow. We’re seeking problem-solvers with a keen eye for optimization opportunities, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to navigate tasks while communicating effectively across all organizational levels. Your curiosity will drive you to explore the systems that power our delivery network, understanding their interdependencies and interactions.
Join us in this dynamic role and help shape the future of e-commerce fulfilment at Amazon.
At Amazon's European Central Flow Team (ECFT), Process Control Specialists synchronize their schedules with Fulfilment Center partners, embracing a 4x10 work week. Based from the LCY Tilbury office, team members work Sunday-to-Wednesday or Wednesday-to-Saturday shifts, covering day and night operations, with a 3-day weekend each week. Wednesdays serve as an overlap day for project work, growth, training, and analyses.
A typical day involves assessing current state metrics, analyzing order volumes and workstream distributions, and comparing real-time data against network-wide plans. Using proprietary systems, you craft dynamic staffing plans, determine optimal associate placement and timing, and refine plans with FC management as orders and variables shift. When volumes surge or capacity nears limits, you modulate inflow, redistribute workload, or reschedule orders to uphold customer promises and prevent late deliveries. In disruptions, PCS teams assess, mitigate, and implement contingency plans, mobilizing cross-functional partnerships and consolidating critical information to resolve issues quickly.
The European Central Flow Team (ECFT) is a vital part of Amazon's Fulfilment Centers, driving capacity, risk, and workflow management with real-time responsiveness and resource planning to keep deliveries on time.
ECFT pioneers FC optimization, developing metrics and data-driven insights to uncover efficiency opportunities. We integrate with FCs to scale innovations, standardize efforts, and improve availability, delivery speed, and cost-to-serve across the network. Join ECFT to help optimize Amazon's global fulfilment operations and deliver smiles to customers while tackling complex logistical challenges.
