This is a unique and exciting opportunity to enhance your knowledge and advance your career by working in a facility involved with the provision of services across PN, CIVAS, Chemotherapy and Non-sterile manufacturing. The non-sterile unit holds an MS (specials) licence.

St George's University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is one of the largest hospital trusts in the UK. Our modern state-of-the-art pharmacy with robotic and automated technology currently comprises of a dedicated team of 300 staff. The pharmacy service includes dispensing medication for in-patients and out-patients and the manufacture of sterile and non-sterile medicines.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated person with good interpersonal and organisational skills who will enjoy being a senior part of this friendly, dynamic team.

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will require excellent communication skills and enjoy both an individual challenge and working as part of a large team.
The post holder will be a professional registered Pharmacy Technician whose duties will include the supervision and training of ATO’s, Pre-registration Pharmacy Technicians, Pre-registration pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians.
The candidate must hold the NVQ level 3 in Pharmacy Services or equivalent and have hospital Aseptic experience. A CPD Portfolio would be advantageous but not essential.

Qualifications
  • NVQ Pharmacy Services Level 3 plus an accredited underpinning knowledge

Experience
  • Experience of working in an aseptic unit in a hospital or industry aseptic facility
  • Experience of maintaining QMS including QERs, CAPAs and Risk assessments
