A regional orchestra located in Bournemouth is looking for a Principal Double Bass to join its full-time contract team. Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra is seeking applications from suitably qualified candidates for the position of Principal Double Bass, sitting No.3.
Based in Poole, Dorset, BSO performs extensively across the south and south-west of England, nationally and internationally, and also delivers an extensive range of education and community work, through its award-winning Participate department.
The Orchestra’s Chief Conductor is Mark Wigglesworth; Leader Amyn Merchant.
Single round auditions will be held in Bournemouth or Poole Spring 2026.
