A leading technology firm is seeking a Principal Delivery Manager to lead delivery teams, manage client relationships, and ensure project success. This role involves strategic oversight in a hybrid working environment, focusing on enhancing public services through human-centered technology. Ideal candidates will have a proven background in delivery management and stakeholder engagement. Join us to make a difference in society.
Location: Bristol, London, Manchester or Swansea with hybrid‑working policy
Our aim at Made Tech is to use human‑centred technology to improve our society. We believe putting people at the heart of designing, building and delivering public services leads to better outcomes for everyone.
We are building a community of designers, researchers and product professionals to support the public sector's growing demand for a user‑centred, design and product‑led approach to how services are delivered.
As the Principal Delivery Manager, you will work with delivery, technical and design leads to ensure projects deliver the desired outcomes for users and customers. You will collaborate with delivery teams and client stakeholders to identify and manage risk and solve issues that arise. The majority of these activities will be value‑adding. You’ll build effective relationships with other senior leaders within the business, enabling you to contribute to Made Tech playbooks and thought leadership. You will support the well‑being and development of all team members within your portfolio, by ensuring they receive regular feedback and learning opportunities.
Principal Delivery Managers are experts in delivery and define the delivery approach and team shape, inspire trust with senior stakeholders, guide clients through the delivery process from the first client engagement and are the most senior line of project escalation for the account.
The accomplishments of the Principal Delivery Manager are demonstrated by growing Made Tech’s impact, delivering high‑value services to our clients, and accelerating the careers of others in both Delivery Management and other capabilities within your portfolio.
Principal Delivery Managers are responsible for delivering outcomes by collaborating with other Principals within the community, the rest of the Account management team, Delivery/Design/Technology leads within their projects, client stakeholders and internal business partners (e.g. scheduling, hiring teams). They are responsible to the Co‑Heads of Delivery who are their line managers and representatives in the Leadership Team.
At this point, we hope you’re feeling excited about Made Tech and the job opportunity. Even if you don’t feel that you meet every single requirement, we still encourage you to apply. Get in touch with our talent team if you’d like an informal chat about the role and your suitability before applying.
All applicants do not need to hold a valid SC at the time of submitting an application but must be eligible to apply for security clearance if successful for the role.
Eligibility for SC requires a minimum of 5 years UK residency and 5 years employment history (or back to full‑time education).
Please note that if at any point during the interview process it is apparent that you may not be eligible for SC, we won’t be able to progress your application and we will contact you to let you know why.
If you need this job description in another format, or other support in applying, please email talent@madetech.com.
We believe we can use tech to make public services better. We also believe this can happen best when our own team represents the society that actually uses the services we work on. We’re collectively continuing to grow a culture that is happy, healthy, safe and inspiring for people of all backgrounds and experiences, so we encourage people from underrepresented groups to apply for roles with us.
When you apply, we’ll put you in touch with a member of our talent team who can help with any needs or adjustments we may need to make to help with your application. We’ve put together this blog as a resource to share more about reasonable adjustments and some examples of what this could include. We also welcome any feedback on how we can improve the experience for future candidates.
