We are seeking an experienced BI Developer to design, build, and continuously evolve high-quality, scalable, and user-centric Business Intelligence solutions using Power BI, enabling the organisation to make faster, smarter, and more data-driven decisions.

What you’ll be doing

You’ll be tasked with leveraging deep technical expertise and a product mindset, the BI Developer will take ownership of end-to-end BI delivery – transforming raw data into actionable insights – while helping to mature BI capabilities across the business through innovation, mentoring, and continuous improvement.

Skills and qualities you’ll need
  • Proficiency in DAX and Power Query (M) for advanced calculations and data shaping
  • Strong understanding of data visualisation principles and report usability
  • Solid SQL skills for querying and transforming data from relational databases
  • Understanding of Row-Level Security (RLS) and data governance in Power BI
  • Awareness of deployment practices using Power BI Service, including workspaces, apps, and refresh scheduling
  • Familiarity with Agile tools such as Azure DevOps, Jira, or equivalent
  • A product mindset – committed to evolving BI solutions as long-lived, business-critical assets
  • Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Able to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders
  • Collaborative team player who contributes positively to a data-driven culture
  • Self-starter, comfortable working independently and managing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and staying current with BI technologies and best practices.
Qualifications and experience
  • At least 5 years’ experience in a Business Intelligence or data analytics role
  • Proven expertise in developing reports and dashboards using Power BI (Power Query, DAX, Power BI Service).
  • Experience in data modelling and transformation, including star schema and snowflake designs
  • Hands-on experience connecting Power BI to multiple data sources (e.g., SQL Server, Excel, SharePoint, APIs)
  • Demonstrated ability to work in Agile delivery environments, delivering iteratively with regular stakeholder engagement
