A leading equipment dealer in Guildford is seeking a Transmission Test Bench Operator for their Powertrain Department. This full-time role involves setting up and maintaining test benches for various transmissions and hydraulic components. The ideal candidate will have a mechanical trade certificate and must be able to analyze data and troubleshoot issues effectively. Reporting to the Workshop Supervisor, the Transmission Test Bench Operator will join our Powertrain Department on a full-time basis at our Guildford location. This role involves setting up, operating, and maintaining test benches to conduct various tests on transmissions, control valves, and hydraulic pumps. You’ll play a critical role in testing, analysing data, and troubleshooting CAT transmissions and related components to ensure peak performance.
Our Transmissions Store assembles transmissions and torque converters to a “like-new” condition, ensuring customers achieve full component life. Components are stripped, assessed, and a CAR report is provided to customers detailing findings and costs. Once parts are ready, they are assembled, painted, and corrosion-wrapped for protection.
