Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Financial Controller to lead the finance function at TE Connectivity’s Hastings, UK manufacturing plant. This is a high-impact role where you will act as a key business partner to the Plant Manager and leadership team. You will be responsible for financial planning, reporting, and analysis, ensuring robust cost control and compliance, while driving improvements in operational performance and supporting strategic investment decisions.

This role is ideal for a qualified finance professional with strong manufacturing experience who enjoys combining hands-on financial management with strategic business leadership.

Your ideal background:
  • Degree-level education in Finance, Accounting or related discipline.
  • Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) strongly preferred.
  • 5–10 years’ finance experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong expertise in standard costing, variance analysis and cost accounting.
  • Demonstrated ability in financial forecasting, modelling and performance analysis.
  • Solid understanding of manufacturing processes, procurement and supply chain drivers.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or Operational Excellence concepts desirable
  • Systems experience: SAP, advanced Excel and BI/reporting tools
  • Proven leadership skills with experience managing and developing a finance team
