About The Role

Join our Balfour Beatty Kilpatrick team as a Plant and Tool Technician at Hinkley Point C and you’ll deliver complex work that really matters to our business, and the world around you.

To help effectively repair on site owned plant tools and equipment for the MEH alliance. Responsible for overseeing and completing reactive and planned maintenance for all the plant, tools and equipment (PTE) procured by the MEH Alliance on the HPC project.

What you’ll be doing
  • To ensure where possible all PTE requiring repair, maintenance and servicing is completed in the safest and most effective ways possible to ensure teams remain working whilst not jeopardising quality and standards.
  • To offer familiarisation to teams requiring the use of PTE in their sections to ensure the correct use and standard is maintained at all times.
  • Provide feedback on improvements where PTE could be better managed throughout the project and offer advice on better products if clear improvement can be found.
Who we're looking for
  • Experience with multitude of disciplines of maintaining, inspecting and servicing power tools, LEV equipment, generators, and other PTE deemed a requirement.
  • Undertake pre-delivery inspections, scheduled servicing and reactive repairs to a comprehensive range of tools and equipment.
  • Ensure health and safety and MEH procedures are met at all times.
  • Flexible in approach to work and able to adapt to an everchanging environment.
  • Be reactive and punctual at all times.
  • Have the ability to work on own initiative and also part of a team.
  • Knowledge of regulations and legislations regarding plant tools and equipment.
  • Must hold full UK driving license.
  • Knowledge of IT systems.
