Job description

Join one of the UK’s largest electrical wholesalers as we reimagine our technology for the digital age. We’re modernising our legacy systems and building new platforms powered by AWS and AI — and we need creative minds to help us shape the future!

What You’ll Do:

This role owns the end-to-end lifecycle of product data across a large and growing catalogue of ~50,000 products. You’ll lead a specialist team responsible for ensuring product data is accurate, consistent, well-governed and ready for publication across digital channels like our website.

As PIM Data Manager, you’ll lead and develop a specialist product data and photography team, owning the end-to-end creation, enrichment and governance of product data at scale. Alongside day-to-day leadership, you’ll focus on improving processes, challenging how things are done, and getting more from our PIM platform by working closely with vendors and stakeholders. You’ll also explore how emerging technology can be applied sensibly to improve efficiency, data quality and consistency across the product catalogue.

Your Skills & Experience:
  • You’ll bring experience leading product data or PIM teams in a retail, wholesale or complex product environment, ideally with large catalogues.
  • Proven experience managing a PIM system (STEP or similar enterprise PIM platforms)
  • Strong people leadership experience
  • A solid understanding of product classification, attributes, enrichment and data governance
  • Experience owning end-to-end product data processes, not just maintaining them
  • Confidence working with vendors, raising tickets, and challenging how systems are configured and used
  • An inquisitive, improvement-driven mindset — you naturally question “can this be done better?”
  • You don’t need to be the most technical person in the room, but you do need to be curious, confident, and comfortable influencing change.
Beneficial Experience
  • Exposure to photography or digital asset workflows
  • Experience operating alongside or through ERP change or integration programmes
  • Background in electrical, trade, wholesale or high-SKU retail environments
  • Most importantly, we’re looking for someone who can learn systems quickly and bring structure, challenge and clarity to how product data is managed.
Package:
  • Competitive Salary
  • Annual IT Bonus scheme
  • Company Pension Scheme
  • Champion Health – a comprehensive physical, mental & financial wellbeing platform, offering bespoke content on all aspects of wellbeing & life including recipes, workouts, blogs and loads of other content for you.
  • Light Up Learning - Our Learning & Development platform
  • MySavings - Employee Discount Platform
  • Free use of the state-of-the-art private gym at our IT Headquarters
