The Role

The successful candidate will develop tools for the maintenance and monitoring of our systems as well as other business functions within the Market Data Team. It is designed for graduates or final year students of a related degree in Mathematics, Computer Science or a similar area with experience through employment or equivalent collaborative project.

Technical proficiency required:

• One to two years’ experience in a related role or through equivalent collaborative project (placement or internship accepted).
• Experience with PHP and MySQL and large datasets (100GB+).
• Working knowledge of at least one modern backend language (PHP 8, Node.js, Python, etc.).
• Understanding of OOP design, Microservices, API design and the importance of refactoring and testing.
• Experience with a modern web framework (e.g., Symfony, Laravel, Django).
• Knowledge of web application security practices.
• Experience with container tools such as Docker.
• Degree or equivalent in Mathematics, Computer Science or a comparable scientific discipline.
