An exciting opportunity has arisen within our Phlebotomy team based at Freeman Hospital for a post of 30 hours/week working 0700-1300 on a rotational basis.

As a Phlebotomist you are an integral part of the NHS, working closely with doctors, nurses, healthcare science staff, and others. You will be required to take blood samples from inpatients on wards, ensuring they are correctly labelled and delivered promptly to the laboratories for analysis. These samples need to be stored and transported appropriately during this process. This position requires a sympathetic approach whilst dealing with patients who could be nervous or require specialist care. Follow best techniques and guidelines at all times.

We are looking for a caring and professional individual who has the ability to work alone as well as part of a team. We welcome any interested applicants to an informal visit.

  • Being able to build rapport with nervous patients.
