A local healthcare provider in South Shields is seeking a Pharmacy Dispenser on a fixed-term contract until November 2027. We are currently recruiting fixed-term (contract until November 2027) Pharmacy Dispensers and welcome Applications on a full and part-time basis.
You will join our rotational team largely in Sunderland Royal Hospitalbut be able to work across our three STSFT Pharmacies and support our Service Level Agreement with our partner organisation CHoICE Ltd. Our In-patient pharmacy supplies medicines towards and departments across our various sites as well as supporting the IntegratedMedicine Management team of technicians and pharmacists to deliverpharmaceutical care to patients admitted to the in-patient wards. Good customer service skills are essential aswell as the need to care about the patients we serve and the services wedeliver. You will take pride in the delivery of a safe and responsivedispensing service. This is an exciting opportunity to provide high-qualitypatient care whilst working with an excellent and patient-centred team.Main duties of the job
You should have achieved NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Pharmacy Services and youwould be required to undertake anaccredited checking course after six months in Post. You will be required to work in bothin-patient and out-patient pharmacies across sites and our partner organisationCHoICE Ltd. As part of the Dispensaryteam you will be involved in the dispensing process for both adult andpaediatric patients attending our hospitals.
You would be expected to be part of seven-dayservice including late night, weekend and bank holiday rotas. You should beadaptable, methodical and have excellent communication and time-keeping skills.You must be able to work well within the Team and also have the ability to workon your own initiative to deliver excellent patient care. We work inconjunction with the Pharmacy education team and we assist with training that youwould be required to undertake as part of your role.
