Job Title: Pensions Officer – Payroll, Payments and Projects
Salary Range: £37,602- £45,564 per year (starting salary dependent on experience)
Permanent – Fulltime (36hours)
Location: Wandsworth Town Hall.
An exciting opportunity has arisen to work as a Pensions Officer within our Payroll, Payments and Projects team. In this role you will be at the heart of our operations, ensuring that pensioners receive accurate and timely payments and contributing to strategic projects that improve service delivery.

You’ll also have the opportunity to develop advanced data analytics skills through a funded Level 4 Data Analyst apprenticeship, equipping you with expertise in data interrogation tools and preparing you for future career growth in a data-driven environment.
The Pensions Shared Service, based in Wandsworth, runs the administration of the Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) for five London boroughs: Camden, Merton, Richmond, Waltham Forest and Wandsworth.
We’re seeking a proactive and detail-driven professional who can combine technical accuracy with excellent communication skills. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with complex data, managing payroll processes, and supporting projects that improve service delivery.
