Job summary

A leading sports academy in Manchester seeks an experienced Performance Nutritionist to enhance player health and performance. The role involves delivering integrated nutritional support, educating athletes, and collaborating with the Academy Head Chef and medical team. Candidates should have SENr accreditation, significant knowledge of nutrition for young athletes, and experience in elite sports. Qualifications

  • Significant knowledge in the areas of nutrition support to young athletes.
  • Experience of utilising principles of nutrition to optimise body composition.
  • Enthusiasm and willingness to be flexible in a team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide collaborative & integrated performance nutrition support to PDP squads.
  • Ensure all injured players receive nutrition support aligned to rehabilitation.
  • Deliver targeted educational input to promote understanding of effective nutrition.

Skills

Experience in delivering high quality nutrition & supplementation programmes/advice to young athletes
Understanding of growth and maturation principles of youth athletes
Ability to use both data & expertise to generate actionable insights
Committed and open-minded individual
Experience in developing a planned approach to nutrition support

Education

SENr accreditation or equivalent
ISAK level 1
