PCB Design Engineer

Celestia Technologies

Location: Edinburgh, Scotland

We are seeking a full‑time or contract PCB Design Engineer to support our ongoing development initiatives in European operations. This position is part of a key project requirement and will be based in our Edinburgh office.

Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and validate mixed‑signal or power converter PCBs for ground station and terminal products used in satellite communication applications across L-Band to Ka-Band.
  • Conduct hands‑on design, system integration, performance optimisation, and verification to meet technical, quality, and schedule targets.
  • Collaborate closely with RF, digital, mechanical, and test engineering teams to deliver high‑performance PCB solutions for prototype and production phases.
Skills, Knowledge & Experience
  • Design and layout of multi‑layer PCBs using Altium (essential).
  • Experience designing mixed‑signal and/or power converter PCBs (essential).
  • Production of manufacture data‑packs (essential).
  • Knowledge of RF layout (great plus).
  • Familiarity with laboratory test and measurement tools such as spectrum analysers, VNAs, signal generators, digital oscilloscopes, and power meters (advantage).
  • A degree in electronics, telecommunication, or systems engineering (desirable).
