Patient Care Advisor

Band 3: £24,937 - £26,598

5 x 37.5 hours (Part time will be considered)

Responsibilities

Do you have a caring and approachable telephone manner? Are you a caring and understanding individual good at dealing with sensitive issues? If this is you, we’d like to hear from you.

Community Health and Social Care Hub based in Huddersfield operating a 24/7 365 days per year call handling service provided by Locala predominately within Kirklees.

No two days will be the same with incoming calls from a variety of callers including service users, carers, colleagues, Health Professionals and Agencies. Calls will cover a variety of issues; these include topics such as dealing with change of appointment times and directing health advice to the best service which is suitable to meet the caller’s needs.

You will need to be a competent user of Microsoft packages such as Word and Excel with good keyboard skills and be able to record call information through a computerized system accurately. You must have a good command of English and Grammar and have a good telephone manner.

You will be educated to GCSE Grade C or above in Maths/English (or equivalent). Experience of working in a Contact Centre is advantageous but not essential as full training will be given.

The role requires you to be able to demonstrate flexibility, and you will be part of a shift pattern including working evenings/weekends, nights and bank holidays.
