The role involves supporting parishes in securing funding for community projects and maintaining accurate records. The ideal candidate will have strong fundraising competency, organisational skills, and experience in bid writing. This full-time position offers a salary of £37,500 and various benefits including annual leave and a pension scheme.
We are looking for a Parish Grants Officer to join our full‑time, permanent team at the Diocese of Westminster in London (SW1P), working Monday‑Friday 9:00 am‑5:00 pm.
About the Diocese of Westminster
We are the Roman Catholic Diocese of Westminster, a faith‑based charity, home to the Archbishop of Westminster (Cardinal Vincent Nichols) and our beautiful Westminster Cathedral. As one of the leading Catholic dioceses in the country, we deliver our charitable mission through an extensive network of schools, parishes and social justice initiatives, with a commitment to positively impacting the lives of all members of society.
As a Parish Grants Officer, you will lead and manage the National Lottery Awards For All grant programme across the Diocese. Guiding parishes through the full application process, you will help them secure up to £20,000 for projects that strengthen community life. Ensuring parishes are fully supported from first enquiry to successful submission, you will empower them to deliver initiatives that bring people together, improve community spaces, and support those most affected by the cost‑of‑living crisis. You’ll work closely with parishes, priests, and key stakeholders, providing support with bid writing, promoting funding opportunities, and proactively building a strong pipeline of prospective applicants.
Closing date for this role is 5th December 2025.
