We are recruiting Packing Operatives to work for a well‑established food manufacturer based in South Tyneside. This role is essential in ensuring food products are packed safely, accurately, and in line with strict food safety and hygiene standards. Candidates must be reliable, detail oriented, and comfortable with early morning starts.

Key Responsibilities

• Packing food products in accordance with company specifications
• Carrying out visual quality checks to ensure products meet food safety standards
• Labelling, weighing, and sealing products accurately
• Ensuring all work areas are kept clean and hygienic
• Adhering to food safety, hygiene, and health & safety regulations at all times
• Following standard operating procedures (SOPs)
• Working efficiently as part of a production team to meet daily targets
• Manual handling duties where required

Skills & Experience

• Previous experience in food production or packing is desirable but not essential
• Understanding of food hygiene standards (training provided if required)
• Good attention to detail and ability to work at speed
• Reliable and punctual with a flexible approach to working hours
• Ability to work early morning shifts starting from 5:30am

Working Hours

• Shifts starting from 5:30am, 7am, 3pm, 11pm
