Job Title: Packaging Production Operative

Pay Rate: £12.21 per hour
Employment Type: Temporary role

Overview

We are recruiting Production Operatives on behalf of a well-established packaging manufacturer based in Basildon. This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy production team in a long-standing family-run business within the packaging industry.

Role Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor production line machinery.
• Assist in the transition of production processes (e.g., moving from metal to paper caps).
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work area.
• Respond promptly to operational signals, including factory bell alerts for returning to the production line after breaks.
• Follow instructions from team leaders and supervisors to meet daily production targets.
• Adhere to all health & safety guidelines.

Candidate Requirements

• Strong English language skills (spoken and written).
• Previous factory or production experience is beneficial but not essential.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively as part of a team.

Working Hours

• Monday to Friday.
• From 7.30am - 4.30pm

Uniform & PPE

• Trousers, Plain T-shirt, and closed in non-slip safety shoes are required.
