PA for a Kind, Creative Young Man in Wadhurst

8 hours – Looking for a PA Monday and/or Wednesday am/pm with flexibility to do a full day for possible events. The role is based in Wadhurst, East Sussex, close to Tunbridge Wells.

We are looking for a warm, patient and reliable Personal Assistant to support a 22‑year‑old autistic young adult with learning difficulties. The role involves supporting him to develop confidence, independence and enjoyment in daily life.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Companionship
  • Respecting the employer’s privacy and confidentiality
  • Reliable and punctual service
  • Following instructions and working on own initiative
  • Maintaining the required health & safety standards
  • Providing a supportive and friendly environment for an autistic individual with limited vocabulary and occasional frustration

Candidate qualities:

  • Patient and knowledgeable about autism and learning difficulties
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and positive attitude
  • Ability to speak and read English to a reasonable standard
  • Comfortable around pets
  • Fit and healthy for the required duties
  • Honest, cheerful and creative
