A healthcare organization is seeking a dedicated Outpatient Nurse to join their team in the UK. The successful candidate will perform clinical procedures, manage the outpatient area in the manager's absence, and support junior staff. Join the small, patient‑focused team at the Outpatients Department – Snowdrop Breast Unit – with a requirement to work in Royal Glamorgan Hospital and Dewi Sant Hospital if needed.
The successful candidate will have an interest in Outpatient Nursing, work well independently and as part of a team, embrace the core values of the health board, and be eager to learn and improve services for patients.
Required skills include phlebotomy, ECG recording, and wound care. The role involves facilitating clinics independently, carrying out clinical procedures such as doppler, supervising junior staff, and supporting Student Nurses on placement.
The candidate will also manage the Outpatient area in the absence of the Department Manager, undertake mandatory training and e‑learning, and actively participate in PADR and support revalidation.
Flexibility across the 5‑day week is essential to meet service needs. Main Outpatients operates Monday to Friday.
This post is advertised as Welsh desirable. It is not essential; however, speaking and listening skills at Level 3 (equivalent to CEFR B2) or above are advantageous when short‑listing and selecting candidates.
