Job summary

A leading optical company is offering an Optical Assistant Apprenticeship in Burnham-on-Sea. This full-time position includes on-the-job training and the opportunity to become a Level 3 Optical Assistant. You will be responsible for welcoming customers, booking eye tests, and providing style advice. Ideal candidates should have GCSE Maths at Grade 9-4 or equivalent and a passion for retail and customer service. A salary of £7.75 an hour is offered, along with various benefits.

Our Apprenticeship scheme gives people of all ages the chance to boost their existing skillset and kickstart an exciting new career as part of a forward‑thinking business, all whilst earning a full‑time wage.

We are currently looking for individuals who are enthusiastic about providing great customer service and would like to pursue a career in retail, management or optics.

Our store is a welcoming and friendly place with free parking about a 5 minute walk from store (not guaranteed) or parking you pay for across the road.

Who is this Apprenticeship for?

What will you gain?

Your on‑the‑job training will sit alongside structured learning that will lead to a nationally recognised qualification. At the end of your time as an apprentice, you’ll be a fully‑fledged Level 3 Optical Assistant. Over the course of eighteen months with us, you’ll:
