Job summary

A leading logistics provider is seeking an Operations Support to join their team in Connah's Quay. This full-time position entails providing technical solutions to ensure effective warehouse operations. Candidates should have experience with pallet wrapping machines, troubleshooting, and IT asset management. Working hours are 4 on 4 off, from 7 PM to 7 AM. Qualifications

  • Competence in patching Dumb Terminals and Printers.
  • Ability to set-up and maintain label printers.
  • Experience in local control of IT asset management.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting the Picking and Packing Team with engineering solutions.
  • Monitoring machines to drive efficiency and reliability.
  • Providing weekly operational equipment status reports.

Job Description

Due to continued growth we have an exciting opportunity for an Operations Support乐城to join our friendly team at our Deeside site on a full time permanent basis!

Working hours: 4 on 4 off, 7pm-7am.

The purpose of anOperations Support isto provide a knowledgeable, solutions-based approach to the Warehouse to ensure the smooth day to day running of the technical function on-site.

Key Duties of anOperations Support:

  • Work closely with 3rd parties on external systems.
  • Assisting the Picking and Packing Team by providing Engineering solutions to assist in an Operational capacity.
  • Monitoring all machines and ancillary plant to drive efficiency and reliability.
  • Carry out planned maintenance, inspections and complete repairs with little disruption to the Operational schedules.
  • Look for opportunities to continuously improve performance.
  • Follow set procedures and guidelines with respect to Health and Safety and COMAH Regulations.
  • Ensure good working practices and housekeeping are adhered to.
  • Providing weekly reports to management team on status of operational equipment.
  • Proactively make recommendations regarding the equipment to meet the site operational requirements and future development.
Qualifications

Technical knowledge and experience in working with the following equipment is desirable:

  • Pallet wrapping m/c.
  • Various bespoke hand packing/labelling lines with printers.
  • MCS.
  • Printer Management.
  • Device Management.
  • Staff Maintenance (such as passwords and access levels).

You will be expected to demonstrate competence in the following areas:

  • Patching of Dumb Terminals and Printers.
  • Label Printer set-up and maintenance.
  • Network patching of laptops and printer to pack benches.
  • Systems/Peripheral Configuration.
  • Local Control of IT Asset Management.
  • General Troubleshooting and Fault Finding.
