A leading robotics maintenance company in the Greater London area is seeking an O&M Technician to operate and maintain an automated car-park system. The successful candidate will conduct routine inspections, troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems, and ensure compliance with safety protocols. Job description

As an O&M Technician, you will be part of our Operations team, responsible for operating and maintaining our robotic car-park system. You will receive on-the-job training from Stanley Robotics experts to become fully operational within a few weeks.

Type of Contract: Permanent employment Full time

Starts as soon as possible

Location: London Gatwick airport area

Work site environment: outdoor and indoor

On site: Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.

Key Responsibilities

Robot & Infrastructure Maintenance:

  • Maintain and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control systems for both the robots and related infrastructure.
  • Perform routine inspections to ensure safe and efficient operations.

Operations Management:

  • Operate the facility under normal and emergency conditions, following established procedures and safety protocols.
  • Handle field communication with airport operation staff
  • Provide support to users if needed
  • Adhere to environmental regulations, customer requirements, and industry best practices.

Administrative Support:

  • Assist in developing operating procedures, maintaining inventory, and supporting service maintenance agreements.
  • Use standard IT tools for documentation, reporting, and communication.
  • Maintain a clean, safe work environment and professional appearance of the facility.
  • Strictly follow all safety and environmental procedures to uphold regulatory compliance.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills

  • Diploma in Maintenance (Mechanical/Electrical) is considered an asset.
  • Experience: Previous hands-on experience in mechanical and electrical maintenance.
  • Attributes: Diligent, organized, curious, and customer-focused, with strong interpersonal skills.
  • IT Skills: Comfortable using standard IT tools (eg, Google Workspace).
  • Language Skills: Proficiency in English is required; ability to communicate in French is a plus.
