Job description
Role: Occupational Health Advisor
Location: Daventry - 2 days on site
Hours: 2 days per week
Salary: Up to £48,000

Amber Mace are working with a company looking to recruit an experienced Occupational Health Advisor to join its established clinical team, delivering a high-quality, class‑leading service to a clientelle in Daventry. This is a permanent, site‑based role offering structure, autonomy, and realistic workloads within a highly supportive OH environment.

Working within a multidisciplinary team, you will actively promote and maintain good health in the workplace. The service is built around a quality‑first approach, with case management capped at six assessments per day to ensure clinical excellence, manageable workloads, and long‑term staff retention.

The Role
  • Deliver case management, fitness for work, and sickness absence consultations
  • Provide advice to managers on employee health and wellbeing
  • Coordinate Occupational Health activities in line with legislation and best practice
  • Undertake health surveillance and screening, including audiometry, spirometry, and skin assessments
  • Prevent adverse health effects through early intervention and risk‑based approaches
  • Maintain accurate clinical records and ensure compliance with NMC standards
  • Take ownership of your Continuing Professional Development (CPD)
About You
  • You will be a confident and experienced Occupational Health Advisor who brings:
  • Proven experience across all aspects of Occupational Health delivery
  • Strong case management and clinical assessment skills
  • The ability to work autonomously while contributing effectively within a team
  • Excellent organisation and time management
  • A proactive, solutions‑focused mindset
  • Strong IT capability, including MS Office and OH systems
  • Commitment to ongoing CPD and professional standards
Requirements
  • Registered General Nurse (RGN)
  • Post‑registration qualification in Occupational Health (Certificate / Diploma / Degree)
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Previous experience working in an Occupational Health Advisor capacity
