Overview

Nursery Practitioner‑Level 2 role at Tops Day Nurseries – Lymington, Hampshire, United Kingdom. Full‑time permanent, 35 hours per week, salary £12.87 per hour.

Responsibilities
  • Providing day‑to‑day care, including feeding, changing diapers, toilet training and ensuring a safe, clean environment.
  • Developing and leading fun, age‑appropriate activities that promote learning and development in social, emotional, physical and cognitive areas.
  • Observing children’s development, identifying concerns and supporting motor, language and social growth through play and structured learning.
  • Ensuring children are safe and emotionally supported in a nurturing environment.
  • Keeping records of each child’s progress – milestones, behaviours and developmental needs in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
  • Maintaining regular communication with parents or guardians about progress, needs and any concerns.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of a Level 2 Early Years Qualification.
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding procedures.
Important Safeguarding Information
  • Hold (or be willing to obtain) an enhanced DBS check registered on the Update Service; candidates may need to cover the cost.
  • Eligible to work in regulated roles – not on the Children’s Barred List.
  • Successfully complete background and reference checks.
