A local nursery in Cambridgeshire is looking for a Nursery Practitioner to create a nurturing environment for children. Are you passionate about creating brighter futures for children? At Granta Park, we are looking for a Level 2 or Level 3 Qualified Nursery Practitioner to join our team. Bring your enthusiasm, creativity, and dedication, and let's make a difference together!

To be considered for this role, you must hold a Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification or Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

Own transport is required due to the location of the nursery – also commutable by no.13 bus and Granta Park commuter buses travelling to Cambridge and Whittlesford.

We are unable to offer sponsorship for this role.

Pay: up to £29,848 per annum based on qualifications and experience (40 hours per week).

Working Hours: Full time 40 hours flexible over 4 full days, or 37.5 hours over 3 full days and 2 half days – shifts between 8am-6pm Monday to Friday. (Part-time full days also considered).

Location: The Old Station Nursery Granta Park, Granta Park, Great Abington, Cambridgeshire, CB21 6GP (Free on-site parking).

About Our Nursery

The Old Station Nursery Granta Park is a premium nursery offering four extra learning enhancements for our children: organic growing, cookery and language lessons; all delivered in a Montessori-inspired way which encourages practical learning at each child’s unique pace. The nursery is located in Granta Park, just 5 minutes from the M11/A505 junction with quick access to central Cambridge and ample parking. It is a truly unique setting with an onsite gym and restaurant that our team benefits from a 50% discount. Beautiful walks are also available for lunch breaks.

What Your Role Involves
  • Create a warm, fun, and nurturing environment where children feel safe and thrive.
  • Plan and deliver engaging, play-based activities aligned with the EYFS framework.
  • Build meaningful relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
  • Monitor and celebrate children’s development milestones, keeping records to share with parents.
  • Support the day-to-day running of the nursery, maintaining high standards of hygiene, safety, and care.
  • Be a team player, offering guidance to apprentices and volunteers while learning from others.
