A five-star hotel located in York is hiring a Spa Cleaner to ensure high cleanliness and hygiene standards throughout the spa facility. The role includes cleaning treatment rooms and public areas, maintaining supplies, and adhering to health regulations. Preferred candidates have previous spa, hotel, or healthcare cleaning experience and strong attention to detail. The Spa Cleaner is responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation throughout the spa facility. This role ensures a calm, sanitary, and welcoming environment for guests by thoroughly cleaning treatment rooms, wet areas, relaxation spaces, and staff areas in accordance with health and safety regulations.
Qualifications & Skills
Previous cleaning or housekeeping experience preferred (spa, hotel, or healthcare environment is a plus)
Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, sanitation standards, and safety practices
Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Physically able to stand, bend, lift, and perform repetitive tasks
Professional appearance and positive attitude

As a Room Attendant/Public Area, key to your role will be:
The Spa Cleaner is responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation throughout the spa facility. This role ensures a calm, sanitary, and welcoming environment for guests by thoroughly cleaning treatment rooms, wet areas, relaxation spaces, and staff areas in accordance with health and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Clean and sanitize treatment rooms, massage tables, equipment, and tools after each use
Maintain cleanliness of locker rooms, showers, steam rooms, saunas, and restrooms
Replenish linens, towels, robes, slippers, and spa supplies
Properly handle, wash, and store laundry according to hygiene standards
Dispose of waste and used materials safely and discreetly
Follow spa hygiene protocols, chemical usage guidelines, and safety procedures
Report maintenance issues, damaged equipment, or supply shortages to management
Ensure floors, mirrors, glass, and surfaces are spotless and hazard-free
Maintain a quiet, respectful presence to preserve the spa’s relaxing atmosphere
